Monitor Your Home's Energy Use in Real Time, from Anywhere
Understanding how much energy your home is using, when and where, empowers you to find savings. Sense gives you the tools to break it down and take action.
See your usage month-to-date and what you’re trending towards. Is your energy usage higher than you were expecting?
Look at how your use trends by day over the course of the month. Can you pinpoint the outliers?
See what’s happening at home
With machine-learning device detection and smart plug integration's, Sense shows you what’s turned on and off, so you gain insight you can’t get from other smart devices.
The Now screen shows you which devices are running right now. The bigger the bubble, the more power it’s using!
You can always see exactly how much energy you’re using at any moment.
The timeline keeps a history of on/off events, so you can look back to see when your kids turned off their video games.
Real-time readings
The Power Meter tells you exactly how much electricity you’re using right now, with wattage steps up and down when devices turn on and off.
Find out how much energy a device is using by going around your house turning them on or off. Time to change that incandescent bulb to an LED!
Many devices are on when you don’t even realize it. Unplug that coffee maker to see how much it draws waiting for the next cup to be made.
Lower your carbon footprint
The mission at Sense is to reduce carbon emissions by making homes smart and efficient. The Sense app provides real-time carbon intensity data to help you reduce your footprint. So if your mission is our mission, you have the information you need to make a difference.
See your region’s Carbon Intensity (CI) number. It’s a measure ranging from 0 to 2.1 of how clean or dirty the energy being produced by the grid is right now. 0 is good! 2.1 is bad.
Sense provides a CI forecast for the rest of the day, so you can plan accordingly. Consider charging your EV when the sun is high and CI is low.
You can compare your home’s Avg. CI to the regional CI number. Using high energy devices during periods of low CI is one way you can have a meaningful impact on climate change.
